Your Brand and You

One of the most essential elements of building a strong business is building a strong brand that represents your business. In this week's blog post, we focus on the first step to building a successful brand that is representative of your business. YOU. Yes, you! You are your brand and here's why focusing on your attitude, business ethics and professionalism play a major part in branding.

To give some inside tips and helpful advice, we are proud to have guest blogger, CEO and brand ambassador of The EK Brand and 50 Shades of Success, Kisha L. Townsend.

We present...

Your Brand and You

Your Brand – What is it?

Your logo is not your brand and your brand is not your logo

Your logo is a symbol that helps your customers and potential customer identify you.

Answer: You are your Brand

When you wake up in the morning and Thank God that you are able to put your feet on the floor, up until the time you lie down in your bed to go to sleep at night

YOU ARE YOUR BRAND.

You are a Direct Reflection of Your Brand

Example:

Welcome to the world of Inspiration, Motivation, Empowerment and Edutainment!

“Created with Love” dedicated to satisfying your Mind, Body, Soul and Spirit.

The “Key Words” used when describing the brand are all positive

But

If the owner’s personality, words and actions are negative, which is a contradiction to what their brand stands for, how can the owner expect anyone to believe that they have a business that is truly created with love?

Remember the Double A’s: Attitude and Actions

Change your attitude and actions and the world around you will begin to change accordingly.

Your Attitude and Actions Can Make or Break YOU.

Choosing the Right People to Represent You

When companies choose people including, celebrities and athletes to represent their brand, they are expecting that person to represent them in a positive manner in which it will draw customers to their products and business. If that person has endorsement deals with big name brands and gets into trouble, it could potentially become bad for business and for that company’s image. In turn, that company will begin severing their contracts and ties with that person, celebrity or athlete because they are representing that company’s brand and they can’t afford to have someone taint their brand and ruin their reputation.

The people you chose to represent your brand should have the same values as you. Good values and superior business practices goes a long way.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re famous or an ordinary Joe, if you have a business, you have to love your business (Your Brand) like you love yourself and demand the same from others that represent you.

Become a Brand that People can Trust

If you want to build trust with your customers and potential customers and if you want to gain loyalty from your customers, you have to first give them a reason to keep coming back. You and who you choose to represent your business as well as the service that is provided will have a huge impact on your overall customer satisfaction.

You can have a fantastic product, but if you are known for having a bad attitude or people look up your name and see negative press or reviews due to your lack of professional customer service, it will be easy for them to take their business elsewhere.

Some people will pay more for better quality of service.

Great customer service and the quality of service provided makes a difference!

Remember, it’s Your Brand...

“You are Your Brand”

Social Media and the Negative Impact on Your Brand

Many people have multiple social media sites like, Facebook (FB), Instagram (IG), Twitter, Google+, Snap Chat and Pinterest, just to name a few.

How you conduct yourself on social media is a direct reflection of your brand.

If your Twitter and Google+ pages are positive and then your Facebook and Instagram pages are negative – What does that say about you? Remember, you are Your Brand.

Be mindful of your actions before you make your first move. Remember some actions cannot be undone.

You Are Your Brand

Self-Love and Your Brand

How does Loving Yourself Unconditionally Relate to Your Brand?

Self-love is key in every aspect of your life.

Knowing the significance of self-love and having a clear understanding as to why it is so important for your overall well-being and success is also key.

Self-love builds self-esteem, self-acceptance, self-confidence and self-worth and so much more.

Self-love will help you thrive in life and with your business. When you know your worth, you will accept nothing less for yourself or your business.

When you love yourself unconditionally, you are more confident, and you exude powerful positive energy. You stand tall with your back straight, looking forward to what lies ahead. You are ready to negotiate deals involving your business and handle important issues and concerns with your business.

When you love yourself unconditionally, your self-esteem rises. You are able to set better boundaries. You are able to set smart goals that you are able to achieve, which leads to becoming a success.

Self-Love creates an aura of positive energy around you.

Remember represent yourself well and choose those that will do the same.
