Welcome! Why don't we start with finding out just who Tiffany is? Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Tiffany Stallings and I am a mother of three, high school vice principal, and an entrepreneur.
Being a full time mother and career woman is a full plate. What made you decide to add being a published author to your busy life?
I have always wanted to write a children’s book. My oldest daughter actually gave me the idea for title of my first children’s book, “Mommy Works Too Much!” by complaining about my work schedule.
Are there other genres that you write or wish to write?
I have written a children’s book and a motivational book for women.
That brings me to my next question. If you were to write a book about yourself what would you name it? Why?
I've actually written my second book entitled, “The Bounce Back Mindset”. Life tried to break me and I bounced back better than ever.
Tell us about your current book project?
I have just released two books on Amazon. Both titles were Amazon Best Sellers. My children’s book, "Mommy Works Too Much!" was actually the #1 release in its category.
What is your upcoming project about? When will it be released?
My latest title is “The Bounce Back Mindset”. It is currently available on Amazon. It is a motivational book to encourage and empower women that may be going through a tough time.
What are some of your other aspirations for your writing career?
I plan to release additional children’s books and other nonfiction titles.
Would you like to collaborate with other authors on a book project?
I am always looking to collaborate.
What makes your writing stand apart from other authors?
My stories are unique because they are solely about my children and me and our adventures.
When it comes to writing, are you a morning person or a night owl?
I am a “whenever an idea hits me” person. That can be 3am or 5pm.
Tell us a unique writing habit that you have.
I like to write while listening to movie soundtracks. I prefer instrumentals.
Outside of writing, what are your favorite past times?
I am a weekend warrior that is training for my next marathon in Europe.
Tell us one thing about you that is a little known fact.
I played classical violin for 12 years and now I can barely play Twinkle Twinkle.
What is one lesson you’ve learned since becoming a published author?
I have learned that writing and selling books is a business. Fortunately, I have experience running a business so I was fortunate with regards to that aspect.
What is one myth about being a published author that you learned and what like to share.
Writing a quality book takes time. My children’s book took a little over two years to get published. You should research and study other authors before diving into self-publishing. It will not be an overnight project – despite what those Facebook ads promise.
Tiffany, it was a pleasure to interview you, and we look forward to your future works!
