Welcome to Untamed Publishing's Author Interviews! As a company that caters to the self-published author, we want to highlight and support indie authors. There is a vast array of talent amongst us, and here's the opportunity to connect the readers to their next favorite author!

This interview features, author JC. Sit back, relax and let's find out about the Beast of Urban Fiction!

Welcome JC! Why don't we start with finding out just who JC is? Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m just plan ol’ JC from Augusta, GA. A retired football player and father of two wonderful boys.

Okay so Father. Football Player. Why did you make the decision to add published author to your resume?

I have a vivid imagination. I started writing movie scripts and let a good friend Author Jill Hunt read it. She said it would make a great novel. Not long after that, I read Street Dreams by K’wan and it was on. That’s when I decided to flip my movie script into a manuscript.

Now that is quite the motivation. Since you've transitioned into novels, what genres do you write or wish to write?

I love Street Lit, but I also crave Fantasy, Horror & Sci-Fi.

That brings me to my next question. If you were to write a book about yourself what would you name it? Why?

The Phenom, I’ve done some amazing things.

The Phenom. Very Interesting and we certainly hope to see those amazing things in a book one day. Speaking of upcoming projects, can you tell us about an upcoming project? When will it be released?

I have so many. I don’t know where to start. Beast: Street King will drop sometime this year, but there may be other projects before that.

Tell us about your current book project?

The current one is titled, The Contact. It’s a fast pace read with never a dull moment. It’s about two lovers that got separated during that teenage years only to meet up in a dark world of corruption. They must depend on one another to escape the people they once trusted, who now want them dead.

Would you like to collaborate with other authors on a book project?

Absolutely.

What are some of your other aspirations for your writing career?

I want to help others get their vision out there. I want to be a bestselling author and not just throw the false accolade on my book covers.

What makes your writing stand apart from other authors?

You have to ask my readers that question. All I know is that many of them are very satisfied.

LOL! At the end of the day, as long as the readers are satisfied that's all that matters! When it comes to writing these satisfying books, are you a morning person or a night owl?

Night Owl… definitely.

Tell us a unique writing habit that you have.

I write my best work in just my underwear. LOL.

LOL! JC, you're wild! Outside of writing, what are your favorite past times?

Gym and spending time with my sons.

Tell us one thing about you that is a little known fact.

I’m scared of needles.

Moving back towards you as an author, what is one lesson you’ve learned since becoming a published author?

Get a trusted Editor. I can’t express enough about the importance of a good Editor. I’ve learned the hard way.

What is one myth about being a published author that you learned and would like to share?

Money don’t come easy. You’ve got to hustle and grind.

JC, it was a pleasure to interview you, and we look forward to your future works!

Please connect with the author and check out his books, Beast, Beast A.D., As Long As You Both Shall Live and The Contract!
