I have it all. Money, success, and a beautiful woman who will soon become my wife. My life is good and everything is in order just as it should be. But then I saw HER and she turned my life upside down. When I first laid eyes on her, I knew that I had to have her. I felt like I needed her and by the end of the night, I knew that she needed me just as badly. But there is a problem; she is married. Her husband doesn’t deserve her, he takes her for granted, and he doesn’t see her for the woman that she is. If she was married to anyone else I wouldn’t care. I would swoop right in and take what I want. But her husband is my best friend; therefore she is off limits…or is she?
Zara and Tristan Price are married and seem to be the perfect couple. He’s the top notch and high powered campaign manager for Georgia’s top officials, and she’s the doting wife that takes care of the house, but is also degreed and comes from a posh background. But as they say, not everything is as it seems. There is a dark secret that swirls in the Price household topped with corruption and jam packed with lies.
Tyson has it all as the rich and powerful CEO of Tyson Wear, a designer clothing line for men. He also has a spitfire, high maintenance fiancée named Charlie. Although Tyson is self-made and proud, he’s unhappy with his personal life particularly his relationship with Charlie. He longs for the type of love with a woman that is true and real not fake and plastic based solely on material possessions and money such as what he has with Charlie. He’s given up hope of real love because most women in his life only see his position and money instead of him, so he settles for Charlie because at least, she has her own, even though she loves to spend his.
Everything comes to light when Tristan introduces Zara to his best friend from college, Tyson Reed. Tyson immediately falls head over heels in love with Zara, at first glance. It doesn’t help that Zara embodies nearly every quality and characteristic that Tyson is looking for in a woman. Although he tries to be true to his friendship, it all goes south when he finds out that his friend is not the same person he used to be. After finding out Zara and Tristan’s secret, it sends him on a mission to pull Zara away from his once best friend. Facing his own past demons, Tyson embarks on a journey to help free Zara so that she can be independent, and at the same time, explore his feelings for her…and perhaps, hers for him…hmm.
This book is a fast-paced read with characters that leave you angered yet salivating for more. It is an intriguing plot that earnestly keeps the pages turning. It is also a heart wrenching tale that will touch your soul and leave you rooting for the characters and praying on their outcomes. And the heat is sizzling! This was an excellent read with only a few minor errors, and I was truly hoping for Zara to become a bit more independent early on, but the author does a wonderful job of showing how all things come in due time. I won’t give the spoiler away, but let’s just say I was in TEARS and I can’t even tell you when or why!! Ladies, grab this book and brace yourselves!
