What would you do if you were tossed in prison for 8 years, losing everything and having to be ripped from your spouse and children knowing you were falsely convicted? That is the dilemma former S.E.R.T team officer, Tanya Bell finds herself in. When she’s released, she wants nothing more than to reconnect with her family. Unfortunately, the powers that be still have other plans for Tanya. She begins this rollercoaster ride of trying not only to vindicate her name for the accused past indiscretions, but also to hold on to the life she’s trying to rebuild. This is an action-packed thriller that keeps you wondering who in the world is really after Tanya and why? Now to toot the “Black Girl Magic” horn, it was refreshing to read characters of color, especially women in different roles as special ops. Yes, Tanya and her best friend, Egypt kicked butt and took names later! In a predominately ‘man’s world’, it felt good when these two ladies outsmarted, out-gunned and out-fought their adversaries. Now, for as hard as Tanya was, it would’ve been nice to see the softer side of her with her husband and children more than just in flashes. Cause we all know women can most definitely wear many hats. However, this is the first published release by the author and it seems like we’ll be hearing more from Mrs. Tanya Bell…hmm. We’re confident that this author will only get better so watch out! A. Wingfield is coming through!
